When you are thinking about starting college, one of the most important issues to consider is funding and how you intend to pay for some of the costs that come with being a student. You will need to consider two things when applying for a course at West Lothian College; how you will pay for your tuition fees course cost and how you will pay for your other living costs such as travel, food, and accommodation. The type of help available will depend on the level of course you are studying and whether you are studying full-time or part-time. Due to the impact of Corona Virus and the current social distancing measures in place we are currently limited to the amount of staff we can have available in our offices and as a result we are unable to answer phone calls at present. Applications must be made online. For further information or to make your application please visit www. You are encouraged to apply for funding on a laptop or PC where possible. In addition, the college can provide local assistance towards childcare costs and provide discretionary funding to help with housing and other ad-hoc expenses. Full-time FE students will get their fees waived provided they meet certain residency and other criteria.

Online dating is on the rise — and few places are embracing it quite like Edinburgh. With the rise in dating apps more and more people are taking to the internet in their bid to find love. And Paddy Power Games revealed research which says 31 per cent of people in the city met their last partner online, making it the most popular way to find a date in Edinburgh.
The survey outlined that the Scottish capital is the third top city in the UK for finding love online — behind only Leicester 39 per cent and Liverpool 35 per cent. In Edinburgh 28 per cent of people say they found someone after meeting someone through friends or family, 15 per cent said they met someone while out at a pub or bar, eight per cent said it was through education and five per cent said it was a blind date for them.
However the research does say that those looking for something long-term are more likely to meet offline as most married couples met through friends. But It may be more of a fling than anything long term with the couples going for a more traditional way of finding the one. With Paddy Power Games, you can get lucky online, without any cheesy opening lines. Then add the number to your contacts as ‘Edinburgh Live’.
