For me, it meant seeing “Get Out” in a heartwarmingly diverse and incredibly-welcoming theater with a boyfriend, only for us to be referred to as “O. Though no two relationships are the same, some of the microaggressions, the experiences, and the conversations mirror each other for interracial couples.
